Ode to Micheal Jackson

I was a Micheal Jackson fan. He had great music and a lot of talent. You could really dance to his music. Out of our kids Kim was also a fan. We have a couple of his albums, (you know the record kind that go round on a record player) and Kim would dance and sing to them. We even have a picture of her hugging the"Thriller" album cover. When she was 2 or 3 she thought ALL dark skin people WERE Micheal Jackson, so when we would go out shopping or out to eat she would yell his name to dark skin people. It was funny and embarrassing at the same time. Micheal created the BEST videos that went along with his songs. "Thriller" was a favorite and so was "Say, Say, Say" and "Black and White". It is scary when people the same age as you die. Life is short enough as it is. Make every day count.

Happy Anniversary Too..........

US! it's our 28th Anniversary today and it was my turn to plan it. We started out with breakfast at Village Inn. They have multi grain pancakes now. Then we were off to the Mills Mall to watch the movie "The Proposal" We both thought it was cute. Yes Sandra Bullock is necked but she covers up with her arms and a washing mitt. Then we got tickets to the IMAX and saw "Grand canyon Water Trip" Boy is that screen BIG. and talk about loud. I must be getting old. Well after the two movies we went shopping at IKEA. We started by having lunch in the cafe at IKEA. It wasn't half bad. The chocolate cake is very very good. We walked around the store, Don had never been there before. We found an office chair and a floor mat for his office. I found a picture frame for a project I'm working on and a "Down sheet" like the one's at all the fancy resorts we stay in for Country Trips. The regular price is 100.00 but we found one in the return "as is" part of the store and got it half off. Whoo Hoo. After that we needed to go to Costco and pick up a few things for the "Linger Longer" on Sunday and to Home Depot for an item we need tonight for the Branch activity. You might think our day is done....nope. We are going to the Branch activity at 7pm. "Human Foosball" Then we are going to have a late dinner, to end our happy day, at Tia Rosa's. I can't believe it's been 28 years, where does the time go? Love you Don!!!

OK Let me tell you where we have been. I (deb) have been in Utah for the past 10 days visiting Mal, Jon, Hanna, and my mom and dad. Don and Taylor have been hiking Havasupi from the 9th to the 12th . When I got to my folks house I was going to update this blog. BUT for some reason I was only able to write in the Title part of the page nothing else.

So these are some pictures of where in the world the Crandell's were.

The Start of JUNE

It was June 1st in the afternoon, I had cleaned out a little bit of the garage and came inside for lunch and a cold drink. I was sitting at the computer when I heard LOUD talking. I looked out the window and saw this.........drunk lady being restrained by the police. They were being very nice to her but very cautious. I don't think she lives around here, but I'm at work 9 months out of the year and don't know too much about the neighbors.
I've started making a mission blanket for Taylor.(one of my summer projects) I'll take a picture when it's done. His room was nice and clean for him when he got back into town. The first day back he even made his bed, not so for the days after that. The grand kids are coming over for swimming and grandma school today. What fun! Happy June to you all!!!
