Look who came for Dinner!

old pic
Last Sunday I was having a presidency meeting at my kitchen table when the back door opened and in walked a little girl. About 2 1/2 feet tall not too much hair. I was looking at her from behind and it kinda looked like Hanna, but Hanna lives in Utah. Next thing you know she turned around and it was Hanna. Mal and Hanna surprised us by flying down for Taylor's talk in church. And it WAS A SURPRISE!! Taylor gave a great talk. He had Lot's of people there to support him member and non-member alike. Thank you all who came, it meant a lot to our family. Mal and Hanna stayed until Thursday night. While she was here we made cookies for Amy's baby shower. Hanna painted a beautiful picture on canvas. The recent pictures won't down load because I don't have enough space on the c-disk. Its time to clean house.
Anyway we had lots of fun. now back to reality. We are having Thanksgiving on Monday for our Cluff FHE because Taylor will be gone for thanks giving and it is one of his favorite meals. I'm taking the day off work to prepare for the dinner. We have pies to make, ham to heat and Turkey to cook. Yum Yum! only 10 more days until he is in the service of his fellow men.

I'm Home sweet Home

This last week I was in Roy, Utah visiting my mother, who had some breast cancer removed on Tuesday. She was a trooper through the long day (6am to 6pm) of procedures before surgery. She will start radiation therapy next week. This is her second bout with cancer. The last was 20 years ago. Her birthday is on Monday, Oct 19th, she will be 70 and if it wasn't for her white hair she wouldn't look a day over 59. It was good to be with her this week. REMEMBER it is breast cancer awareness month (always in Oct) think about getting your mammogram today. THINK PINK

A FULL two weeks behind & one coming up

Wow, It's been a busy last two weeks. Lots of learning, visiting, and service. I think the next Two Years will go by FAST. Conference was GrEaT! All the talks were just for me to hear. We have a newbe sister missionary for the next 6 weeks (3 some) she is from Bolivia. We had to do some rearranging to the sisters bedroom but it worked out.
Next week we get a week off from school, so I am going to Utah to visit my mother who is having surgery next Tuesday. I wasn't able to be with her the last time she had breast cancer (20 some odd years ago) But I can be there now. I hear it's cold up there.
Kim could you change my blog background for me? Something Halloweeney!!! Thanks!
