The New Move Inns

We have the privilege of having the sister missionaries living in our basement for at least 6 weeks. We don't see much of them because they are either at the Temple Visitor Center or the Spanish branch area, so they stay pretty busy.
We had a singles Branch sister sleepover at our house last night. Everyone who came had a good time. I don't know how late they stayed up, I went to bed at 10:30 then was awoken at 6:30am by the bishop of the Preston ward looking for Taylor. They had planned a golf outing. Well...Taylor was spending the night at a friends house because of all the single sisters at our house. needless to say Bishop found Taylor they went golfing and I went to the gym, since I was up, and Don climbed the mountain. Just a typical Saturday at the Crandell's
We are eating lettuce and radishes and spinach from our garden, yum tasty! Can't wait for the Tomato's to get ripe! That's all the news for now.

Happy Birthday Bro

This is my little brother Robert and his wife Cindy. Today my brother turns 47. I don't think I could come up with 47 reasons why he is "special" to me. Growing up he was more of a nuisance and deserved every thing he got. He even got a bloody nose from me. Even though he is the way he is, I still love him, "I "can't say "we" love him, as in other family members, because they might think differently. There is never a dull moment when the family gets together, and he looks older then me. That makes me happy. All in fun, Happy Birthday Robby!!

Random thoughts

This is at Ek Balam. There is a meaning for every carving on this structure. The statue person in the middle of this picture had angel wings, a flat face, a club foot and a turned in hand. The people of this time considered them of special importance and gave them great honor. They were guardians of the king. Our guide said that the people did not discard people of special need. That's nice to know.
On the first day in Cancun we walked along the beach and came across these pillars. We think weddings are preformed there because it was roped off, we could not get any closer. The pelicans had the best seat on the beach. Notice the blue water, it was beautiful and the sand was white and soft like snow.

When Mal & Hanna were here we got the new camera so Mal took a lot of pictures of Hanna. In this one she is doing her impression of Sponge Bob Square Pants. In the next one she looks like her dad. She's got Grandma Debbie's teeth.

She's a cutie still the same.
Today we went to the Red Mountain vs Mesa High Boys Volleyball game. I did not know how the games would turn out because both teams have the same record. I knew it would be a great game and worth the money. I was not disappointed, It was a great game and both teams were fun to watch. But in the end Red Mountain WON!!!!! 3 games. The score was close each game.
Taylor got his graduation announcements today. I can't believe our public school time is coming to a close. No more weekly lunch money to get. no more teacher emails, no more sports to watch. and if I thought harder I could think of a lot more no mores.
I'm so glad we have a break from school. I don't know what I'll do, but I do know I'll be busy.
I hope the Easter Bunny hops by each of your homes and leaves more then bunny droppings.
Family just a reminder Sat, Great-Grandma and pa's house. 1 pm
Also, you are invited to our home for Easter dinner after our Sunday block 6:30 pm. I know it's late but come if you like.
Does anyone have any thoughts on a good movie coming out on DVD?
Oh! if you want to read about the ruckus that was on our block it was on the AZ central.com web page with the header of "man robs wells fargo bank". He'll probably be on the top dumbest criminals show some day.
I'm done with my random thoughts.

How many cops does it take?

After the Volley ball game

This pic. is before we left for Volleyball. 10 cars had all ready left.
There was an armed robbery at the Wells Fargo by our house at about 4pm today 4-2-09. We heard the helicopter telling the neighborhood to look for the suspect and then they described him, The next thing we know we got 20 plain and reg cop cars in front of our house with their BIG guns. Then the helicopter told the neighbors to stay in their homes. They took one fella away in handcuffs and then stayed around for about 20 min. more making sure there was no one else. After that they put their guns away. It's 4:45 and there are still lots of cops just hanging around. It's time to go to Taylor's Volleyball game, so we'll miss the exciting conclusion of How many cop's does it take and how long does it take. We got home from the game, which we won, at 6:45pm and a few cops are still down the street. So the answer is....It takes a lot of cop's and a long time.
