Picture update

The week of school starting we all were at the Westin Kerland in Scottsdale This a few of us floating down the lazy river. Kim's family looks good in the water.
Here the Willis kids were enjoying the Congo line!

This is a picture of the house Chris and Erica put a bid on. It's a fore closer. It's real cute but some work will need to be done on it.
This is our cat "Coma" Taylor does not like the cat so this is his fist knocking the cat off the couch. I like "COma" It doesn't eat, or mess up the house or go out on the prowl.

These are a bunch of Crandell's up in Heber. We had a nice day. Thanks Dave and Susie!

These are a bunch of Crandell ONE year olds, who will be turning TWO soon. Lot's of drama.

And this mess maker likes to get into things when she comes to grandma and papa's house. We love her any way.
Oh and we have some sad news. Don will be released from the Singles Branch, when they can find a replacement, because he has been called as a High Counselor for the Alta Mesa Stake.

Back To Work/School

Last week form the 9-13th we were able to be at the Scottsdale, Westin Kierland Resort and Spa having fun in the sun with the company Don works for, COUNTRY Financial. It was so nice to lay around by the pool and read. Don and the boy's golfed. It was back to work for me on the 12th. It wasn't so bad because I got to go back to the resort after work. The camera still wont down load so sorry no pic's. Monday night all of the kids came and spent the night and the company had a big dinner and dance. The grand kids loved it. There was also some game booths set up for the kids to play and win prizes. Fun times for all. I hope every one had a great summer, the rest of the year will fly by, until Nov. when Taylor leaves.

Happy Birthday Chris !

August 1st is/was our son-in-laws 26th birthday. We were able to take him and Erica out for dinner and then we watched Evelyn so they could go to a movie. We hope he had a great day.

Every once in a while I like to make the recipes from magazines. Well I found the magazine "healthy cooking" at the Curves i go to, and Sunday i tried the "cheeseburger pasta" It was so good even Amy liked it. It is a lady(Raquel Haggard) from Edmond,OK 's recipe and healthy cooking tweaked it so it would be more healthy. Here it is:

1-1/2 cups uncooked whole wheat penne pasta 3/4 lb. lean ground beef

2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 can(14-1/2 oz.)no-salt added diced tomatoes

2 Tbsp. dill pickle relish 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard

2 Tbsp. ketchup 1 tsp. steak seasoning(McCormick's Montreal Steak seasoning)

1/4 tsp. seasoned salt 3/4 cup cheddar cheese

1. cook pasta according to package. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Drain pasta; add to meat mixture.

2.Stir in tomatoes, relish, mustard, ketchup, steak seasoning and seasoned salt, Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 min.

3. sprinkle with cheese, Remove from the heat:cover and let stand until cheese is melted.

We didn't do step 3 or the boiling and simmering part of step 2. (we were hungry, it was fast Sunday)

It tasted like a cheeseburger, even Tillman ate it. I doubled the recipe and it feed 5 adults and one kid. Easton wanted peanut butter and honey sandwich go figure. I had one serving left over.

Nathan didn't like the mustard in it. I couldn't taste the mustard. This can be cooked in 30 min. I'm defiantly putting this in the Crandell family recipe book.
