The random-ness of me

In the singles branch R.S. I was chosen to fill the get to know you basket. Wow, it was one of the hardest things for me to do. I was to fill the basket with things about me. I couldn't think. So I looked in my purse to see what was me, inside. I like gold bond lotion, and chap stick. What are my hobbies? I like to make jewelry, I put in a bracelet I made for just this occasion, and other small crafts. At the reunion we made magnets for the fridge. I like to give parties and my secret wish is to someday own or work at a wedding reception place. I put party invitations in the basket. I like to sing, even when the kids would tell me not too. I put in a play microphone, It echoed when you talked into it. I love dark chocolate so I put in some dark chocolate covered pecans with toffee. I saved some for myself. yum they were good. I like to read so I put in a quick reading book about counting your blessings. I had a few around the house. I gave them to my V.T.s. I work at a school so I put in a word pointing stick with an apple on the end of it. My favorite chips are veggie chips from Fresh and Easy so I put some in . I work out at Curves so I put in a Curves water bottle. I also put in some random mini candy bars, Dark chocolate of course. I put in a bag of fresh tomato's from the garden. I have a thing for office supply stores so i put in a couple of pencils with the fun grips to save the finger your pencils rest on. Any way those were the random things about me that I put in the basket. It's weird to stop and think about yourself. Right now I'm cooking dinner for 2. it feels weird too. By the way the fella in the picture is my Uncle Bill, My moms brother, this was taken at my cousin Deedee's wedding reception. I was the kitchen help. RANDOM

Crandell Reunion

On July 11th when 7.11oz Slurpee's were free at 7/11, we were in Heber at the Del Crandell family reunion "For crying out loud!" We had a fun time and it was much cooler there then in mesa, so thank you Dave and Susie for offering your wonderful abode so we could all enjoy the weather and the company. Out of the 8 brothers and sisters the three youngest were not there. Dana and Ed surprised the family by coming in from Aztec. It was good to see them. All 5 of our kids were there with the 5 grand kids. Dale and Pam's 3 kids were their, and 5 out of 6 grand kids. Dave and Susie had 4 of their 6 kids, along with 2 of the 4 grand kids. We had a big group making crafts (thanks to Susie) and eating good food all day long. Mason won the family "Ping Pong" tournament. He got to wear the self-esteem crown. Hopefully Susie got a picture of it. I have not been able to download the pictures as of yet but I will keep trying.

"The" Call Came

Taylor received his mission call yesterday, to the Uruguay, Montevideo West Mission. He reports to the Argentine mission home Nov. 5th. Monday we will send for a passport. The Spanish sister missionaries, who live with us, were so excited, they gave him a Spanish Book of Mormon. He is very excited to be going to Uruguay, and serve the people. All I can say right now is; they grow up so fast.

4th of July and Grandkids & summer projects

This project started in march. Making our first garden in our new place (5 years new). In this picture we have peppers, green beans, zucchini, and way on the far side are cucumbers.

Here we have Tomato's. They are delicious right off the vine.

The next three pictures are of one of my summer projects. Jars hanging from the trees and the pool fence with candles in them.

It looked like fire flies when all the bright lights were off. I'm not sure if I want to paint the glass different colors or leave them clear, I haven't decided.

I love the look it gives the back yard. Don was not so sure of some of my summer projects. I would also like to string lights from the house to the back fence, over the pool area. I think it would create a wonderful look.

These are the three grand girls playing in the dirt pit it's lots of fun. Don will soon be putting sand in it to make it a sand box.

What goes together better then grand kids and the 4th of July? Nothing!

We had a bar-b-Q in the back yard with burgers, hot dogs and chicken. The kids had a good time swimming and playing together.

I have another project I've started and will need to finish before Taylor goes on a mission, I'm making a quilt for him. All the squares are cut out I just need to sew them together.

Happy Birthday Jon!

July 6th is our son-in-laws birthday. So we are watching Hanna so Jon and Mal can go to Disneyland, and the Price Is Right. Jon will get in free at the theme park. They will more then likely have pictures on their blog. Any way Happy Birthday Jon!

I will post soon our 4th of July activities and the project I was able to accomplish.

I don't have any pictures of Nate when he was a baby, in my computer, so I can't embarrass him. So here is one on his wedding day. Amy does have a picture on her blog when Nate was sitting in a box. He was such a cute baby. Nathan, you have turned into a great man. Happy birthday to you!!! We love you.
